We, a married couple, joined forces in this "collective". Photography is the passion of Marijke and Frans is addicted to Filmmaking. We support and help each other with all the in and outs of these fascinating disciplines.
I am the photographer within COLLECTIVUS, using Nikon D80's with 4 different lenses, a Manfrotto tripod and monopod. I use as much as possible natural light.
From June 2008 till the end of 2011 we had a gallery (2 rooms) in a separate part of our house in Tjappsåive, Swedish Lapland. Marijke showed here her photographic work and her CD about Lapland. After 20 years we decided to move to the south of Sweden, to be more precise to Småland. We bought an old school from 1900, partwise even much older, in a small village called "Ishult" about 34 km. (3,4 mil) north/west of Oskarshamn. Directly situated next to the museum "Tingshuset". From Oskarshamn you drive the E22 and take exit Vimmerby /Ishult after 17 km. Beginning summer 2012 we will open an small exhibition (1 room) in our new school house. Here you can see and buy pictures of lapland, double-cards with envelopes, mousepads and DVD slideshow about the life of the "same" (lappish people) and their reindeers. Also a film made by Frans.
